René has managed a variety of projects throughout Holland, Germany and New Zealand with experience from site selection stage through to completion. René has recently completed multiple logistical and IT projects for clients including Auckland Transport and Air New Zealand in large and busy public facilities.
René has extremely strong stakeholder management skills and is able to define client briefs and approvals in large project forums. His affable nature makes him a pleasure to work with.
We are one of the few industries where “the end-product does not leave the factory, but the factory will leave a unique end-product in a unique place”. These words from a former professor at Delft University, are still in the back of my mind, because visiting these unique places after several years, still brings up that challenging question I continue to ask myself: “Did we match the end user(s) expectations/vision?”
In the end, what drives me is to match or over-deliver the clients expectations.
Enjoying New Zealand, the country has so much to offer!
Despite still being a “guest” with a permanent residence, my wife and I found our little paradise up north and enjoy every minute we can get to upgrade our place inside and out.
Ice speed skating and skeelering are other hobbies I enjoy, but unfortunately not many opportunities present itself for these activities in our neighborhood.
