Tim Palin

With a career spanning New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Tim has twenty years of experience in many aspects of project management, from scheduling, programme controls, and PMO establishment across disciplines such as rail, tunnelling, infrastructure and buildings. 

Tim’s recent career has seen a focus on contract management and contract disputes. Since 2022, Tim has lead Frequency as Managing Partner, and also heads our contract management and disputes practice. As a practicing Engineer to Contract, Tim is a member of the steering committee for Engineering New Zealand | Te Ao Rangahau’s Engineer to Contract Panel, the society of Construction Contract Practitioners.

Often called upon as an advisor for clients undergoing commercial difficulty, Tim is an expert witness in mediation and arbitration actions, and peer reviewer of commercial and contract decisions of other professionals.
