Alex Burgess

Alex is an experienced project delivery consultant, specialising in project controls and risk for major infrastructure works.  A chartered professional engineer and qualified project manager, Alex has built her reputation based on a solid professional skillset, agile thinking, and an ability to identify and mitigate problems before they arise. She understands infrastructure and knows how to deliver a successful project.  

Over the past 15+ years she has held lead project controls roles on a broad range of challenging and complex projects including the Piritahi land development programme, the City Rail Link underground stations and tunnels, the redevelopment of the Auckland waterfront for the hosting of the Americas Cup, the construction of the Arras Tunnel and National War Memorial Park in Wellington, and the construction of the Waitangi Wharf in the Chatham Islands. These projects were all delivered under alliance contracts and Alex is a strong supporter of collaborative contracting.
