Celebrating our wāhine in leadership

At Frequency, we believe in the power of mentorship, networking, and support to uplift women in leadership. This International Women’s Day, we gathered for a meaningful kōrero over lunch, where some of our senior leaders shared their experiences, insights, and advice on navigating careers, work-life balance and overcoming workplace challenges.

Expertly facilitated by Senior Associate Emma Hodgkin, the panel featured Partners Catherine Hemi and Polly Hall and Senior Associates Sharon Parackal and Emma Sangster – leaders with diverse expertise spanning local government, infrastructure, vertical, commercial, and procurement. What made the discussion truly powerful was the range of perspectives shared—some emphasising the importance of structured mentorship, others advocating for self-driven career growth, and many reflecting on how to own your space as a leader while remaining authentic to yourself. Their insights reminded us that there is no single path to success, but rather a diversity of approaches that can all lead to impactful leadership. The discussion sparked invaluable learnings and connections, and we’re excited to continue this conversation throughout the year. Keep an eye out as we share more insights from our incredible leaders in the coming months. A big thank you to everyone who joined, contributed, and supported this event.
