A dawn of new beginnings at Motueka High School

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Karakia and official opening of Tāwhaki Nui-a-Hema, a wonderful new six-classroom block at Motueka High School. Spanning an impressive 816m², this timber-structured building includes a dedicated horticulture teaching space. Through their horticulture programme, the school teaches students the art of planting and harvesting, fostering responsibility and hands-on learning. The programme comes full circle as students cook and enjoy the fruits of their labour—a practical and fun curriculum that the school is rightly proud of.

Frequency was proud to serve as Project Manager and Engineer to Contract on this special project. Ngā mihi nui to Victor Moller and Tom Williams for their invaluable contributions.

This project is a shining example of teamwork, innovation, and the school’s unwavering commitment to its students and the wider community.
