The Feilding community has embraced a fresh and contemporary New World bringing with it all the fully developed service offerings found in larger towns and cities.
The new 2900m2 modern supermarket replaces two of the town’s supermarkets – a New World and Write Price and gives the rural community a bigger car park.
The new store includes a large upper mezzanine floor, café, butchery, fishmonger, deli, and bakery along with a lot more space for the aisles and fresh produce than was available at the previous site.
Prior to the construction commencement of the new store, Frequency managed the entire design phase, contractor procurement, and pockets of enabling works which involved the demolition of an existing building.
Throughout the build we managed the construction and the delivery on time and budget.
- Staged areas in the site works were implemented with the main contractor to allow for the main building works to progress. The neighbouring gym car parking area was also taken into consideration regarding staging and this was captured in the initial enabling works. Staged site works allowed for the main works to be completed prior to store opening.
- We developed specific ‘Safety in Design’ processes for this project that we are now rolling out across our projects nationally to comply with the Health & Safety Act 2015. This is where we put real emphasis on the operator’s use of the facility to ensure that once the building has been completed and handed over, it can be used and maintained in a safe manner.
