This project aims to remediate over eight landslips around the dams in the Waitākere Ranges. These landslips are restricting access and pose a risk to significant pipelines that supply Auckland’s water. Accessing the site is challenging, requiring the use of helicopters to transport materials during construction. Additionally, the project area is an ecologically sensitive area, necessitating careful planning and execution to minimise environmental impact. This project is vital for securing Auckland’s water supply and remediation efforts will also enhance access to walking tracks in the Waitākere Ranges.
