Frequency was engaged by KiwiRail in 2016 to deliver one of their critical Interislander resilience projects, the acquisition and commissioning of the new Kaiarahi Ferry. This involved the international procurement of the new ferry and the management of substantial refurbishment works, completed in a Singapore shipyard, prior to the delivery of the vessel to New Zealand waters. The project had a very high public profile with an unmovable completion date. Frequency’s role on the project was a programme manager across all workstreams with a strong emphasis on project controls and risk management across both local and international contracts.
