Frequency Graduate’s visit Central Interceptor project site.

Last month, the Frequency Graduates were given an amazing opportunity to visit a site on Watercare’s Central Interceptor project currently underway at Dundale Ave, Auckland. The micro tunnel boring machine, known as Domenica, has been laboriously traversing the underground from Dundale Ave to Miranda Reserve with as little disruption as possible, upgrading Auckland’s wastewater network for what will ultimately be the largest wastewater project in the history of New Zealand. Once completed, this project will offer a range of benefits to the community, from cleaner waterways and beaches to restored habitats. Our Graduates enjoyed a rare up-close, behind the scenes look at this major infrastructure project that’s not usually visible to the public eye. Contractor, Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture (GAJV) were our wonderful hosts.
