Frequency Announces Mark Burgess as Advisory Lead

Frequency are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Burgess to lead our burgeoning Project Advisory service line. Mark took up the Advisory Services role from Frequency’s Wellington office in late January after having returned from Australia where he has worked for Sydney Trains since 2014.

Mark is a solutions-oriented professional with more than 20 years of experience in programme, contract and commercial management, as well as business enhancement and quality assurance in New Zealand and the UK. Most recently, Mark gained extensive experience in the rail industry in Australia during his term with Sydney Trains, previous to which he acquired significant expertise in the ports sector through his work with Wellington Waterfront and CentrePort. As well this, Mark is proficient in civil and structural construction, and the telecommunications and energy sectors.

We have been searching for a long time for the right person to lead the Advisory team and feel privileged to have found Mark. As with all of our team, he is an experienced Programme Manager with solid experience across infrastructure and construction projects.

Over the last few years Frequency have been asked more and more for specific advice as clients turn from traditional management consultants – recognising that project experience is invaluable when needing specific advice, from project governance to business case development and implementation. With our real-world experience we are able to draw upon the extensive expertise of our engineers to provide such an offering, giving our clients direct access to the advice they need to make the right decisions. This service has been embraced by clients who have come to trust our pragmatism, honesty and direct approach.
