Take your kids down to Myers Park in Auckland CBD this summer to cool off and have some rollicking fun!
Frequency are very pleased to be involved in the ongoing rejuvenation of Myers Park, one of Auckland’s oldest parks and a gem in the CBD.
We awarded Practical Completion to Knaggs Construction Ltd for the Splash Pad on Friday; the project being completed within budget and on programme for the Myers Park Medley event last weekend.
The Splash Pad has been constructed on the site of the original Myers Park paddling pool and so design and construction were approached with great care and consideration to preserve the heritage features and original concrete.
The Splash Pad features an inscribed poem by Hone Tuwhare about Horotiu, the taniwha that lived in the old Waihorotiu Stream, which had its source in the Myers Park gully.
“It is fantastic to be part of rejuvenating this wonderful, playful asset for Auckland” says Frequency Director, Andrew Taylor.
